Description
The Federated Digital Twin (FDT) represents an advanced evolution of digital twin technology, enabling interconnected and collaborative digital ecosystems among multiple cultural heritage sites. Each individual museum operates its own digital twin to monitor visitor dynamics, environmental conditions, and preservation status. These local twins are then linked through a federated architecture, allowing secure data exchange, predictive simulation, and joint decision-making without compromising institutional autonomy. Thisfederated approach empowers cultural institutions to collaboratively simulateand manage complex scenarios such as visitor flow optimization, safety evacuation planning, and environmental risk assessment across multiple sites.By integratingAI-driven predictive analytics andXR technologies (VR/AR), FDT supports immersive exploration, real-time monitoring, andproactive preservation strategies.
